The Azure Blog MCP server lets Claude, GitHub Copilot in VS Code and other MCP-compatible assistants look things up here while they answer you. Ask things like:

"What Microsoft deadlines affect Entra ID in the next three months?"

"How risky is the Graph permission Sites.ReadWrite.All, and what should I use instead?"

Set it up

Install Node.js 18 or later.
Download azureblog-mcp.mjs. It's a single file with no dependencies, and it only reads the public JSON below.
Add it to your assistant.

It gives your assistant these tools: get_deadlines, search_posts, get_post, lookup_error, graph_permission, find_licence, define_term and list_tools. Answers always include links back to the page or Microsoft source.

JSON endpoints

Free to use in your own scripts, dashboards and tools, with a link back. Cross-origin requests are allowed, and everything is rebuilt every day.

Graph permission risk ratings are this site's own guidance, not Microsoft's. Deadlines and error codes link to Microsoft's documentation, which is always the final word.
